Lois E. Carleton, 72, of Fayetteville, also known as Patricia Sue by her family, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 22, 1932, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of Harry Houlette and Justine Vera Manual Elliott. She was a homemaker and a member of Sequoyah United Methodist Church. She was a member of OES Hesperia Chapter 172. She enjoyed playing the electronic organ.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Carleton Jr.; one son, David E. Carleton of Kansas City, Mo,; two daughters, Deborah J. Halbert and husbard Jon of Fayetteville, Linda Carleton of Hannibal, Mo., six grandchildren, Jessica Ackerson, Kyle Ackerson. Brian Halbert, Kimberly Halbert, Tori Carleton, Emilee Carleton.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Judd Carleton III.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Sequoyah United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University. Little Rock, 72207.

Officiating will be the Rev. Sara Bainbridge.
