GOLDEN, Mo. — Ruth Pauline Merritt, 83, of Golden died Jan. 4, 2004, at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James William and Ida Roxie Allison O'Hara.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell. She was a volunteer for the Braille Bible Institute. She moved to Bentonville in 1979 from Washington. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework and reading. Her husband, Myron F. Merritt, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Roy E. Merritt of Golden; two daughters, Connie McDaniel of Golden and Shirley Brown of Redlands, Calif.; one brother, Roy O'Hara of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell with Charles Huebner officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Rogers Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Rogers.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church School Fund.
