Opal Mae ( Ford ) Bradford 93, of the Eglantine Community near Shirley, AR. passed away January 18, 2009 at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton, AR.
Born February 26,1915 at Choctaw, AR. she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cellars and Ruby Winningham Ford.
She was a homemaker, member of the Shirley Church of Christ, and was retired from Clinton Chicken Processing Plant. Opal loved to work with her hands, such as gardening, crocheting, quilting, and crafts. All of her children and grandchildren recieved many beautiful handmade quilts from her.
She was the widow of Claude Bud Bradford and they lived their entire lives together in the Eglantine Community.
She is survived by two sons, Alvin C. Bradford and wife Freda of Shirley, AR; Jesse R. Bradford of Sarasota, FL; one daughter Winnie Faye Brown of Clinton, AR; one sister Nettie Faye Hutchison of Morrilton, AR; two grandsons, four granddaughters, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.
Casketbearers are Lennie Bradford, Scott Bradford, David Cook, Shane Holmes, Jerry Simpkins, and Tommy Simpkins.
Funeral Service will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Shirley Church of Christ . Officiating is Minister, Marty Knight under the direction of Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, AR.
