SILOAM SPRINGS — Myra Evelyn Routh, 88, of Siloam Springs died April 21, 2006, at Siloam Springs Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Stoutland, Mo., to Charles and Alta Millstead Mooney.
She had lived in the area since the early 1970s. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church in Siloam Springs and enjoyed bluegrass music and baking pies and making cornbread for the American Legion during the Dogwood Festival.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Earl Routh; and one grandson, Bruce Sanders.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Routh and wife Rosie of Willard, Mo., and Bob Routh of Wellington, Mo.; five daughters, Mary Sanders and husband Perry of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Peggy Holzman and husband Art of Oakdale, Calif., Bonnie Bartlett and husband Jerry of West Siloam Springs, Frances Spoon and husband George of Conroe, Texas, and Barbara Henson and husband Jerry of Belton, Mo.; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will to at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Siloam Springs with the Rev. John Crowley and Greg Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
