Zelma Ray O'Connor, 89, of Siloam Springs, died Wednesday, May 29, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 11, 1901, at Bogard, Mo., to Fred M. Fleming and Mary Elizabeth Brewer Fleming. She had lived in Siloam Springs since 1980 and was a former resident of Dodge City, Greensburg, and Russell, Kan. She had been a violinist with the Dodge City Symphony, and was active in Business and Professional Women's Clubs in Kansas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Siloam Springs. Her husband, Melvin O'Connor, preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors are three daughters, Ellen Jean Barrett of Norfolk, Va., and Beth Wibbeler and Margaret Redwine, both of Siloam Springs; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 3 p.m. Friday at Wasson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Philip Hathcock officiating. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home.
