Pauline Andrews Garst, 99, of Siloam Springs died Friday, Jan. 1, at her home in Siloam Springs. She was born in Huntsville, Ala., on Dec. 31, 1893, the daughter of John and Clementine Cauthren Andrews. She married Ben F. Garst in Siloam Springs in 1912.
She was a homemaker, a mother, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Siloam Springs, a volunteer for political elections, a member of the United Methodist Women, and a member of the C.W.T.U.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Garst, and daughter, Mildred Garst Hogan.
Survivors include two sons, Ben Garst of Bella Vista and John B. Garst of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel Monday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs. Bill Cheyne and Dan Crenshaw will officiate the services under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 3 from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
