Tyrus H. Miller, 91, of Heber Springs, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012. He was born October 6, 1920 in Augusta, Arkansas, a son of the late Ray R. and Mae P. Hardy Miller. He worked for Helena-West Helena Sportwear, was a member of the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Catherine Miller, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by one daughter Rebecca L. Chancey and her husband, Darrell of Ward, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Allen Hindsley and his fiancé, Cindy of Ward, and Randal Hindsley and his wife, Brandy of Ward; one great-grandchild, Taylor Hindsley of Ward; three sisters, Gladys Douglas of Wynne, Arkansas, Norma Bowden of West Helena, Arkansas, and Stella Henson and her husband, James of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Magness Cemetery in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
