Maria was 1st married to M. Walton Watkins (b. 1817, KY; d. 1851, Tallahatchie Co., MS) and had one child (Laura Watkins, b. 1850, Tallahatchie Co., MS).
She then married Robert L. Andrews in about 1853 in Mississippi. She and Robert had 6 children, Charles Marshall, Mary D., Frances Elizabeth, Lucien E. Taylor, George Young and Martha Jane.
After Robert Andrews’ death in Lauderdale Co., AL (1865), Mariah came to Lawrence Co., AR, settling in the Smithville area. Her daughter, Frances Elizabeth, had married Millard Fillmore Sloan, son of William Comfort and Susan Henderson Sloan.
