John T. Millsap, Jr., 88, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at his home in Glen Rose, AR.

He was born March 2, 1920, in Romance, AR, a son of the late John Tommy Millsap, Sr., and Myrtle May (Hendrickson) Millsap.

John was retired from Labors International Union of North America Local 490 and was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Sharon Rose Baptist Church in Malvern.

John enjoyed gardening and watching all the neighborhood children play in his yard. He had a love for animals and always took time to feed every stray animal that come by his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise (Moses) Millsap, two brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by a son, Kenneth Flores of Glen Rose; a granddaughter, Kensee Flores Davis of Dallas, TX; a grandson, Kindale Flores of Dallas; a brother, Edmen Millsap of Romance; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice of Hot Springs and give a special thank you to Danny Loy and Penny Fite.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Rev. Todd Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Romance Cemetery. Visitation is prior to service on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

Pallbearers: Tommy Cruse, Clay Looney, Kevin Millsap, Ricky Millsap, John Rodgers, and Bryant Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers: Kenny Rodgers, Charles Millsap, and Timmy Millsap.
