Hubert Dewey Love, 67, of Melbourne, AR, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at his home.
Born Oct. 21, 1937, in Gid, he was the son of Ivy and Ora Owens Love. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963 and was a member of the Twin Creek Church of Christ. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and worked all over Izard County.
Survivors include his wife, Jeralene Brown Love; two sons, Nathan Love of Guion, and Alan Love of Brooklyn; two brothers, Doyle Love and Darrell Love of Melbourne; four grandchildren, Tamara Brightwell of Melbourne, Anthony Love of Guion, and Derek and Drew Love of Brooklyn; a great grandchild, Natalie Brightwell of Melbourne; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Hubert Dewey Love Jr.; an infant brother, T.J. Love; and an infant grandson, Drake Love.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight. The funeral will be at Melbourne Church of Christ with Sen. Tim Wooldridge and Donald Gillihan officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Billingsley, Lorene Blankenship, Eret Moxley, Jim Stegman, Frankie Haley and Mark Herrington. Honorary pallbearers are; George Gillihan, Shelby Gillihan, Boyce Gillihan, Junior Gillihan, Charlie Smith, Ray Dover, Noel Jeffery, Stanley Yancey, Paul Seay, Jared Moxley, Doyne Langston, Kenneth Sheffield, Johnnie Smith and Cleveland Blankenship.
