OWENS, Lena HALL - Lena Hall was born in Pea Ridge, Ark. Feb. 8th, 1886. With her parents she moved to Rogers twelve years later. On Feb. 22nd, 1906 she was married to Lewis F. Owens. To this union was born two children, Darlene and Lewis Franklin, Jr. In October 1916 Mrs. Owens realized that her health was failing and resolved to make a brave fight to regain it. With her children she first went to California where her mother joined her later. From there she went to Colorado. Knowing the danger that there was for her babies being with her she bravely sent them home to Arkansas where they might be cared for better. Alone through months of suffering she clung to the hope of recovery but God had other plans. In her loneliness one friend came to her daily, Mrs. Addison Blanchard, through whose supreme understanding of the great love of Christ, Lena was converted.
