Barbara Jean "Barbie" Garriott, 65, of Fayetteville died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 9, l942, in St. Joe, the first child of Herbert Herman and Reba Jane Wall Hunter. Barbara was raised in St. Joe, later moving to Fayetteville, where she has loyally served her clientele of the Campus Beauty Salon for over 35 years. A tireless and devoted wife, mother, nana, sister and friend, she gave of herself to every life she touched. She was preceded in death by several relatives of the Hunter and Garriott family.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Don Garriott; two sons, Terry Garriott and Richard Garriott; three grandchildren, Makaila, Hannah and Ashton Garriott; one brother, Gary Hunter and his wife, Esther, several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.

Pastor Charlie Brown will officiate.

In lieu of Flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, 72205, or to the Washington Regional Cancer Support home, 1101 N. Woolsey Ave., Fayetteville, 72703.
