1898 - April 22, 1980
Ethel Elizabeth (Hicks) Chambliss died on April 22, 1980. She was 82. She was a Baptist and a resident of the Melbourne area. Her parents were C. B. Hicks and Marie Jones Hicks.
She is survived by 3 sons, George Collins, Thomas Collins and Billy Collins all of the state of Washington; 6 daughters, Ruby Lively of Melbourne, Helen Sartin, Lucille Seamon and Lucy Belle Kethley all of Washington; Dorothy Kennedy of Balch, Ark, Nina Condrey of Mtn. View; 3 sisters, Katie Harris of Washington, Mamee Hutchinson of Calico Rock and Pearl Killingsworth of Michigan; also a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Jones Cemetery on April 25th, Rev. Lloyd Nesbitt officiating. Howard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Jones Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Boyce Gillihan, George Gillihan, Shelby Gillihan, Jr. Gillihan, Weldon Campbell and Ralph Sartin.

Ethel Hicks married Thomas Garfield Collins on 24 Oct 1915 in Izard County, Arkansas. After his death she married Mr. Chambliss.
