RAMSDILL, Emma Priscilla SHEPHERD - Mrs. O.E. Ramsdill, nee Emma Priscilla Shepherd, daughter of Ashbul and Abigail Williams Shepherd, was born in Ft. Wayne, Ind. Feb. 13, 1851 and passed to her eternal reward on Oct. 5, 1924 at 11:35 a.m., age 73 years, 7 months and 22 days. Her only brother, Louis Shepherd, preceded her some years ago. Sister Ramsdill was married on August 28, 1872 to O.E. Ramsdill with whom she lived 52 devoted, happy years. Over four of these years have been spent in our city where she made many friends who deeply sympathize with Brother Ramsdill in his great loss. To this marriage were given four children. Two of these died in infancy. One daughter, Mrs. Chas. Van Scoyk, died about seven years ago. Mrs. Clara L. Gunsaulas, the only surviving child, lives in South Dakota and she, with the husband and five grandchildren, remain to miss mother's love. Sister Ramsdill was a member of the Eastern Star and as long as her health permitted was a most faithful attendant of same. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Monday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Harris. The Gravette and Gentry Eastern Stars attended in a body and conducted their beautiful service at the grave and the remains were laid to rest in the City cemetery.
