Brad Allison, 50, of Monticello died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. A native of Parkdale, a resident of Monticello for the past eight years and a former resident of Hamburg, he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cindy Word Allison; a son, Chance Allison of Monticello; two daughters, Crystal Gonzales and Haley Olwan of Little Rock; a brother, Loren Allison of Joplin, MO; his grandmother, Betty Keifer of Jasper, WY; four grandchildren, Isaac, Jaiden, Alissa and Madison; his uncle, Barney Allison and wife Martha; his aunt, LaRoyce Allison, all of Hamburg; four nieces, one nephew, two great-nephews and one great-niece.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Allison; his father, William Ashford Allison; his mother, Oatha Greer Height; a sister, Lisa Smith; an uncle, Kloyce Allison and his grandparents, Ernest and Lottie Allison and Les Keifer.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Cleveland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Martin, Thomas Martin, Michael Martin, Bubbie Mashburn, Adnan Olwan, Ernest Gonzales and Joe Bickers. Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Allison, Joel Allison, Nick Allison and Terry Allison
