Ethel Allison, 97, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Life Touch Hospice House in ElDorado. Mrs. Allison was a native of Crossett and a resident of Hamburg for the past 77 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gardner Baptist Church. In her younger years, she sang in a Quartet and always loved singing in the choir. She was a people person that loved everybody.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Allison in 2003; a son, Harry Wayne Allison in 2004; a granddaughter, Janiece Allison in 1973; a son-in-law, John Earl Jordan in 2009; her parents, Dan and Effie Mae Coody Farmer; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Allison Jordan of Crossett; a daughter-in-law, Ann Sheiron Allison of Hamburg; four grandchildren, David Allison, Jason Allison and wife, Tammy, all of Hamburg; Johnette Hanry and husband, Lance, Janel Harper and husband, Scott, all of Crossett; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Colby Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Scott Harper, David Allison, Jason Allison, Toby Terry, James Herrington, Bill Herrington, Jack Edward Gee, John Gee, Donnie Walker and David Walker. Memorials may be made to the Beech Creek Cemetery Association. c/o Mrs. Harrison Ralph, 1639 HWY 425 S., Hamburg, AR 71646.

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home in the chapel.
