MELBOURNE - Carolyn Lequta McCollum Woolard Thorne, 59, of Melbourne died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at a Calico Rock hospital.
Born Dec. 18, 1943, she was the daughter of Cecil Willford and Francis Elizabeth McDonald McCollum, in Osceola. She worked at the Pioneer Nursing Home for many years and was employed at ConAgra Frozen Foods at Batesville.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Thorne; a son, Larry Woolard of Melbourne; two stepsons, Robert Thorne of Cushman and Jeffery Thorne of Indianapolis; a daughter, Sue Burkhart of Melbourne; two stepdaughters, Billie Jean Thorne of St. Louis and Aronis Bible of Spring Valley; three brothers, Ronnie McCollum and Michael McCollum, both of Washington, Charles McCollum of Oklahoma; a sister, Betty McCollum of Washington; six step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, John Woolard Jr.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Melbourne Cemetery with Steve Stevenson officiating. Arrangements are by Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne.
There will be no visitation.
