JESS C. REED
Jess C. Reed, 75, 305 S. Cleveland, Springdale, died April 21 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 25, 1900, at, Carolton, he was the son of John F. and Jeanette McGehee Reed and the widower of Willie Howard Reed. He was a retired employe of Welch Co. Inc. and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Donald E. Reed, Buena Park, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Mary Anne) Bonnell, Fayetteville; two stepsons; Howard Thurman, Springdale, and J.C. Thurman, Monrovia, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. June Gargano, Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. Billie Wilson, Alamogordo, N.M.; seven grandchildren, 10 step- grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

Mrs. Willie L. Reed, 70, 305 S. Cleveland St., Springdale, died Aug. 11 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born March 11, 1904, in Missouri, she was the daughter of Aaron and Lula Bohannan Howard, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jess C. Reed of the home; two sons, Howard Thurman, Springdale, and J.C. Thurman, Monrovia, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. June Gargano, Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. Billie Jean Wilson, Alamogordo, N.M.; one step-son, Donald Reed, Anaheim, Calif.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Curtis Bonnell, Fayetteville; two brothers, Emery Howard, Springdale, and Dayne Howard, Torrence, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Butler, Siloam Springs, Mrs. Albert Fields, Springdale, and Mrs. Jim Jackson, Atlanta, Ga.; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Springdale, with Rev. Bob Counts and Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under direction of Sisco Chapel.
