MELBOURNE — Ollie Laneal Page Neel, 84, of Melbourne died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Memphis.
Born May 23, 1923, in Cushman, she was the daughter of John Wesley Page and Elizabeth Jordan Page. She was united in marriage to A.J. Neel in La Crosse in 1943. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Melbourne First Baptist Church, Woman's Missionary Union and Combs Cemetery Association.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Neal of Bismarck, Jerry Neel of Melbourne, Larry Neel of Haworth, Okla., and Jackie Neel of Golden, Okla.; three daughters, Judy Aldridge of Broken Arrow, Okla., Sue Scott of Phoenix and Pamela Simpson of DeQueen; three brothers, Jim Pearson and Carroll Pearson, both of Prescott, and Doug Pearson of Batesville; a sister, Lucille Stark of Desha; 16 grandchildren, Carolyn Ferren, Melisa Dicus, Carrie Goode, Connie Joe Hoskinds, Shawnette Kimble, Joe Neel, Kevin Russell, Sarah Russell, Jackie Allen Neel, Josh Neel, Latasha Neel, Chastity Fradey, Leon Hames, Shantae Noah, Julia Hames and Marcus Simpson; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Charles Neal.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Melbourne First Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
