HOOK, William Andrew - William Andrew Hook, aged 77 years, nine months and 19 days, passed away at his residence in Bentonville on Saturday, April 21st, 1928. He was an old resident of Benton County, having lived here 48 years. He was born in Hillsborough, Ohio on May 2nd, 1850 and was united in marriage with Miss Nancy E. Ames of Hillsborough on September 17th, 1877 and to this union were born ten children, three boys and seven girls, eight of whom are still living. He became a member of the Methodist Church when 20 years of age and had lived a Christian life until his death. He leaves surviving eight children, seventeen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services were conducted at the South Methodist Church in Bentonville by the Rev. W.T. Thompson on Sunday, April 22nd and burial was made in the city cemetery.

William A. Hook passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T.R. Landers, east of Bentonville Saturday, April 21. He was nearly 78 years of age and had been a resident of Bentonville and vicinity for 43 years. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, South Sunday, April 22nd the Rev. W.T. Thompson officiating. Interment was made in the City Cemetery. He is survived by two sons and six daughters and seventeen grandchildren. Mr. Hook was born in Hillsboro, Ohio in 1850. In 1877 he married Miss Nancy E. Ames of that place. They moved to Arkansas 48 years ago and later to Benton county which has since been his home. He joined the Methodist church in Ohio when 20 years of age and has kept his membership up in this church until his death.

HOOK, Mrs. W.A. - Mrs. W.A. Hook, who has been so low with consumption, died at her home in this city Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock. The funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. M.N. Waldrip and the remains were interred in the K.P. cemetery Mrs. Hook was 47 years of age and had been a sufferer for several years. She had resided in Bentonville for many years and besides a large family leaves many friends and relatives to mourn her death. She was a member of the M.E. Church, South.
