Ruby Mae Crawford, 83, of Crossett died Sunday, November 14, 1999, at the Crossett Leisure Lodge. Born January 31, 1916, to Andrew Jackson and Clara Belle Miller Shields, she was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavoe Crawford, and a brother, Loyd Shields. Survivors are three daughters, LaFran Murphy Buchanan of Sheridan, Glenda Murphy of Hamburg, and Marsha Parker of Sheridan; four grandchildren, Christy Murphy Sawyer of Hamburg, Shawn House of Pine Bluff, James House of Sheridan and Carol Murphy of Hamburg; and a great-grandchild, Haley Lynn Sawyer of Hamburg. Funeral services were to be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Farrell Breshears and Lane Amos officiating. Pallbearers were to be Colvin Shivers, Don Shivers, James House, Shawn House, and Alan Ford. Burial was to follow services at the Antioch Cemetery.
