Helen M. McCarty
GREENLAND - Helen M. McCarty, 82, of Greenland died Friday at her home. She was born Oct. 30, 1923, to William Arthur and Fanny Rosetta Devenport McNeely.
She retired from Campbell Soup after 15 years and was a member of Greenland Memorial Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Greenland Senior Center, Merry Widows Club, and was a former president of the Baptist Ford Extension Club.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Bradley McCarty II.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Bradley McCarty of Roy, Wash., and James Kenneth McCarty of Fayetteville; one daughter, Kimberley Anne Prickett of Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com. Lester Shadrick will officiate. Burial will follow in McCord Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present.
The family requests that memorials go to the Greenland Senior Center, P.O. Box 644, West Fork, 72774.
