TERRY, Bessie JACKSON Lee - Mrs. Bessie Terry, wife of Kib Terry, passed away Friday afternoon at 5:30 at her home 4 miles west of Springdale. She had been in ill health for several months and her death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held in the M.E. Church, South at Elm Springs Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains were interred in the Elm Springs Cemetery. Bessie Jackson was born in Madison County, Ind. Feb. 4, 1858. In 1881 she came with her parents to this section where she has since resided. In her earlier life she was united in marriage to John N. Lee, and to them was born one child, a daughter, Mrs. J.M. Derreberry, who resides at Rogers. Feb. 17, 1884 she was united in marriage to Kib Terry by whom she is survived. Deceased is also survived by a sister, Mrs. J.W. Foland of Frankton, Ind. and 3 brothers - C.C. Jackson, Noblesville, Ind.; J.M. Jackson, Kansas City and W.W. Jackson who resides west of Springdale. She is also survived by a number of nephews and nieces, one of the latter, Mrs. T.B. Parkinson of Muncie, Ind. being present when her aunt died. In addition to her relatives the deceased leaves many friends in here to mourn her departure, all of whom sympathize with the husband and daughter in their bereavement.
