Mrs Ida Ellen Smith Dies Saturday at Boswell -
Mrs Ellen Smith, life-long resident of this county, passed away Saturday at her home in Boswell, at the age of 67. She was the widow of the late Henry Smith, well known citizen of this county. Mrs Smith was born and reared in the vicinity of Boswell, being the daughter of Harvey Vest, pioneer citizen. She was loved and respected by a host of friends, who knew her as a devout Christian character.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, interment being in the Vest Cemetery, near Boswell.
Services were in charge of the Rev Stanley Cooker, pastor of the Baptist Church of Mountain View.
She is survived by two sons, S. C. and A. T. Smith of Boswell; two sisters, Mrs Rosa Cook of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs Nancy Jones of Bexar and three brothers, Jim, Ben and Rufus Vest of Boswell.
