MELBOURNE — Charles F. “Pete” Greenstreet 89, of Melbourne died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in Calico Rock.

Born April 30, 1917, in Lunenburg in Izard County, he was the son of Thomas Clayton Greenstreet and Blanche Permitia Pugh Greenstreet. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired road construction heavy equipment operator and a farmer.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail Williams, Marcella Greenstreet and Beverly Day, all of Melbourne; a brother, William H. Greenstreet of Independence, Mo.; a sister, Mary Wilson of Lebanon, Mo.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna Greenstreet; a brother; and a sister.

Graveside services with military rites were at 10 a.m. today at Reeves Cemetery in Guion with family and friends officiating. Arrangements were by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
