MRS. MAXINE BERRY
Mrs. Maxine Martin Berry, 65, 725 Hall St., Fayetteville, died Jan. 8 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born July 1, 1911, at Mountain Home, she was the daughter of James and Dolly Gist Martin and a member of Oak Manor Christian Church in Fayetteville. A retired schoolteacher, she was graduated from Hendrix College, Conway, in 1933 and taught school in Fayetteville for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, L.D. Berry of the home; one son, Jim Berry, Fayetteville; and one sister, Mrs. Anabel Martin Morey, Mountain Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with Robert Chatham officiating. Burial was in National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers were Harvey Smith, Reece Jaber, Greg Thornton, David Johnson, Nate McDaniel and David Drake.
