Hazel Mae Wildman, 68, of Rose Bud, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Born on April 28, 1944, in Heber Springs, she was the daughter of the late Oather F. and Mandy Ruth Davis. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Heber Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Floyd Wildman, and by one brother, Kile Davis of Rose Bud.
Hazel is survived by a daughter Pamela Williams of Hopewell; a son Kevin Wildman and his wife Shawn of Hopewell; and daughter Jennifer Johnston and her husband Josh Johnston of Hopewell; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; a sister Daisy Laster of Ida; a brother Jack Davis of Ida; a brother Sammy Davis of Rose Bud; a sister Martha Davis of Hopewell; and many other dear family members and friends.
Hazel devoted her life to her family, whether that was taking care of her mother or spoiling Floyd. She raised three children and helped raise many grandchildren. Hazel enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and making quilts for her family and friends. Her biggest blessing was her grandchildren. One of the things Hazel was most known for were her delicious meals. Hazel also grew chickens for Con Agra for 15 years and received numerous awards including the grower of the year award in 1989.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Olmstead Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Dawson officiating. A graveside will follow at Martin Cemetery in Rose Bud. Bubba Russenberger, Donnie Ferguson, Shane Davis, Randy West, Charlie Laster and David Rowlett will serve as pallbearers. Jacob Johnston and Christian Russenberger will serve as honorary pallbearers.
