Jewell Pike, 93, of Quitman, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at the White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Born at Quitman on Aug. 17, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Bettis) Hodges
In addition to her husband, Atha Pike; and her parents; she was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Hodges; and one sister, Beulah Scruggs.
She is survived by one son, James Pike of Florida; one daughter, Betty James of Quitman; four brothers, Eldin Hodges and B. L. Hodges, both of Quitman, Winfred Hodges of Cabot and Loy Hodges of Dallas; two sisters, Dean Phillips of Quitman and Jessie McNair of Quitman; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in the Howard General Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pike and the Rev. Roy Clark officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Center Point Cemetery.
