Mrs. Spradlin was a homemaker and was known as a gracious hostess who always made everyone welcome. She was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ for 64 years and was a loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family. She never met a child she didn't love.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spradlin was preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Spradlin; one son, John Paul Spradlin; two brothers, Kermit Keathley and Tommy Leo Keathley; and three sisters, Minnie Lee Lay, Verdie Caldwell,and Mazelle Baker.

She is survived by one son, Ronnie Spradlin and his wife, Phyllis, of Quitman; one daughter, Elaine Carter of North Richland Hills, Texas; one sister, Mary Belle Hankins of Wooster; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchild, one great, great grandchild, and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Spradlin is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Tom Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Point Cemetery. Jimmy Carter, Barry Carter, Gary Permenter, Bruce Vaughn, Paul Spradlin, and Craig Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
