Ruby Jewel Douthit, 97, of Magazine, Ark. died Monday, September 10, 2007 in Booneville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Reveille Primitive Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Douthit, Sr. and her parents, Wilson and Lucinda Garner Davis; two sons, E.J. Douthit and T.J. Douthit, Jr., three sisters, four brothers and a grandson, Nathaniel Blair.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Reveille Primitive Baptist Church near Magazine with burial at Evans Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Booneville.
She is survived by three daughters, Gahlia Isaacs of Magazine, Sewretha Holder of Houston, Texas and Lucinda Blair of Norfork, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Floy Douthit of Texas; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Blankenship, Roger Horn, Billy Turner, Allen Spradley, Jerry Holt and Lance Holt.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Evans Cemetery c/o Carolyn Holt, 8598 Reveille Valley Rd., Magazine, Arkansas 72943.
