David Brooker
David Scott Brooker, 34, of Siloam Springs died Saturday, Feb. 6 at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1958, in Emporia, Kan., to Dr. Richard A. and Lorena Jane Carver Brooker. He was a 1976 graduate of Siloam Springs High School and had also attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, receiving degress in broadcasting and English in 1980. He had also worked as a marketing executive with Long John Silvers in Lexington, Ky., Taco Bell in Chicago, and Kentucky Fried Chicken in Louisville, Ky. He returned to Siloam Springs in 1992, and worked for Outreach Publications as a marketing consultant. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs.
Survivors are his wife, Amy Brooker of the home; his parents of Richmond, Ky.; two brothers, Timothy Douglas Brooker of Houston, and Mark Alan Brooker of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs with the Rev. Mike Huckabee, the Rev. Clyde Brooker, the Rev. Glen Schumacher, and the Rev. Ray Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Memorials may be made to Jeff Stewart, First National Bank, Siloam Springs in care of a memorial scholarship that has been established at John Brown University. Services are under direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
