Betty Jo Barnett, 81, of Warren, Arkansas died Saturday, September 24 in Baytown, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the daughter of the late Harry M.and Clara Belle Wiggins. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 64 years, Alfred D. Barnett, one sister , Margie Hightower, and one brother, James Manuel Wiggins. Betty worked for many years with her husband in their businesses, Barnett Heating & A/C, Barnett Electric, B&B Mechanical and B&S Supply,but the thing she will be most remembered for is her kind and generous ways. She always put others before herself, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and a loving wife , mother and grandmother. Her loving, caring ways never left her even as her disease progressed. Survivors are two sons and their spouses, Daniel and Sally Barnett of Cascoe, AR., Darren and Karen Barnett of Sheridan, AR. and one daughter & her spouse, Rita & Tom Hard of Baytown, Texas. Two sisters, Mae Clark of Warren, AR. and Joyce Thornton of Little Rock, AR. Seven grandchildren Carmen Lawrence & spouse Richard and Duel Johnson, Jr. and spouse Maria of Baytown Texas, Laura Weatherford and spouse Jay of Stuttgart, AR., Daniel Barnett Jr. & spouse Nikki of Alexander, AR, David Barnett and spouse Crystal of Cascoe, AR. Taylor and Sydney Barnett of Sheridan, AR. ,and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 29 at 10:00 am at Oakland Cemetery at Warren by Frazer's Funeral Home. Memorials preferred to Bradley County Veterans Museum, 210 N Main Street, Warren, AR 71671.
