Luster Yates, 52-year-old Red Star resident, who died in a Clarksville hospital, Dec. 24, of knife wounds received in an altercation near Fallsville, Newton county, Sunday, was buried Dec. 25 in the Freewill cemetery. Bruce Brashears Undertaking Company had charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yates was born in Kentucky, but had spent most of his life in Madison county. He is survived by his wife and 12 children: four daughters, Mrs. Helen Smith of Boston; Mrs. Alice Miller, Seminole, Okla.; Mrs. Iva Emory, Butler, Mo'; and Mabel Yates of Red Star; six boys, Orvil, Lee, William, Harvey, Junior, Dale and Lavon, all of Red Star.
