Erma Gene Fisher Farnam, age 79, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, near Quitman. Born in Fairbanks on September 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Birthel Goff Fisher.
A longtime resident of the Quitman area, Mrs. Farnam worked as a dairy farmer. Her religious belief was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elvena Taylor.
Mrs. Farnam is survived by her husband, Archie H. Farnam of Quitman; one son, Lanny Duncan and his friend, Pam, of Quitman; two daughters, Kathy (Bennett) McKay and her husband, Jim, of Romance and Cindy (Duncan) Hill and her husband, Terry, of Quitman; two stepsons, Tony Farnam and his wife, Sharon, of Furlow and Fred Farnam and his wife, Cindy, of Texas; one stepdaughter, Judy Alfaro and her husband, Jesus, of Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Freda Six, Marketta Murray, and Imogene Doyle; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Farnam is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, at Olmstead Funeral Home from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 12, at Wesley Chapel Church at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Terry Hill and Chris Carlton officiating. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
