Edna Bachman

KEOKUK, Iowa — Edna Eldora Bachman, 93, died June 27, 2002, at River Hills Nursirg Home in Keokuk. She was born Jan. 27, 1909, in Ceresco, Neb., to Edward C and Hulda Martinson Hanson. She was a 1927 graduate of Ceresco High School and attended the University of Nebraska. She lived in Chicago, Ill., from 1928 to 1977. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Woodlawn Bible Church in Chicago for 16 years, the Leavitt Street Bible Church in Chicago for 27 years, Grace Bible Church in Siloam Springs for 12 years and the Liberty Baptist Church in Siloam Springs for five years. She moved to Fort Madison, Iowa, in 1999, where she attended Harmony Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Bachman.

Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Bachman III of San Diego, Calif., and John Bachman of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Barbara Guerrant of Papua, New Guinea, and Phyllis Brummitt of Fort Madison; one brother, Cliford Hanson of Porterville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church with Alfred Lowe and Ralph DeVore officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
