Minnie Mae Gann

SILOAM SPRINGS — Minnie Mae Watkins Gann of Slloam Springs died Dec. 3, 2006, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Adair County to Lillie Gardenhire and Harley Watkins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs and taught Sunday school for 27 years. She was past worthy matron of the Eastern Star and worked in sales at Hunts Department Store far 17 years. Her hobbies included cooking, quilting, sewing and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Gann.

Survivors include two daughtors, Marie Carte of Edmond, Okla., and Wenona Studards of Siloam Springs; son-in-law, Ron Carte of Edmond; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mertie Day of Bryon, Calif., and Ruby Merriott of Galt, Calif.; one brother, Emmitt Watkins of Beloit, Wis.

Services will he at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs with Dr. Steve Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.

Memorials may he made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, 72764, or First Baptist Church, 2000 Dawn Hill Road, Siloam Springs, 72761.
