Mary Kathalene Harvey, 81, of Warren, died October 27, 2001, at her home.
She was born January 28, 1920, at Atwood, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Burman Carter and Fronie Burns Carter.
She was the retired owner and operator of NuWay Cleaners at Warren and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Warren.
She was the widow of Tyrus Powers, who died May 8, 1968.
Survivors include her husband, George Harvey Sr., whom she married on November 29, 1968; one son, Larry Powers of Anaheim, California; one daughter, Connie McEntire of Hermitage; three stepsons, George Harvey Jr. of Phoenix and Darrel Harvey and Dwight Harvey, both of Warren; two stepdaughters, Betty Doggett of Warren and Carlotta Maxwell of Mobile, Alabama; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 at Frazer's Funeral Home at Warren. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
