Edward Larry Pierce, age 57, of Mt. View, Arkansas, passed away
Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Stone County. Born October 22, 1947, in
Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Edward and Lethie
(Hensley) Pierce.
A former resident of Quitman, Mr. Pierce had lived in Mt. View for
several years, and he was employed as a floor covering salesman. A
veteran of the United States Army, he served in Vietnam, and he was a
member of the V.F.W. Mr. Pierce enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing
guitar, and dancing. His religious belief was Southern Baptist. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue
Pierce and Anna Rust.
He is survived by his wife, Noemi (Baltran) Pierce; one son, Corey
Pierce; one daughter, Allison Pierce, all of Mt. View; seven stepchildren;
and one grandchild, Germain. Mr. Pierce is also survived by other relatives
and his many friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at
Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
April 20, at 2:00 P.M. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sexton
officiating. Interment will follow in the Pearson Cemetery. Fletcher
Hensley, Farris Hensley, Buddy House, Steve Adams, Mike Gulley, and
Leonard Albrecht will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Olmstead
Funeral Home, Inc. www.olmstead.cc
