Wm. Sprague, who resided two miles southwest of Rogers, died on last Friday morning at 11 o'clock after a long illness. Conplicated stomach troubles was the cause of his death. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and was conducted by Rev. Swan of the M.E. church. The remains were interred in the city cemetery. Mr. Sprague was one of our old settlers, having come to this county from Kansas eighteen year ago. He has always been very popular in his neighborhood and his death will be quite a loss. He leaves a wife and six children, all of the latter being grown. Three of his daughters are married. The family has the sympathy of the community in their great affliction.

Mrs. Anne Jeannette Sprague, aged 89 years, passed away July 1st at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Sargent, west of Rogers. She had been in ill health all spring. Surviving besides Mr. Sargent are Mrs. Jennie Parks of Eureka Springs; Mrs. Helen Kincaid of High Top vicinity; Mrs. Julia Longworth of Tulsa and Wallace Sprague of Rogers.

Mrs. Anngenett Sprague, 89, died at her home here Monday after an illness of 6 weeks. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nelle Sargents, southwest of Rogers, with the Rev. Oscar Ingold officiating. J.W. Bryant is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sprague was a native of Kansas but had been a resident of Benton county for 49 years. She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Helen Kincaid, Gravette; Mrs. Julia Longworth, Tulsa; Mrs. Jennie Parks, Eureka, Kans. and Mrs. Nellie Sargents, Rogers and one son. Wallace M. Sprague.
