Leonard Leon Legett, 59, of Camden died at 4:30 a.m. County hospital in Camden. He was a brother of Mayor Arthur A. Legett of Smackover. Mr. Legett was a cashier for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for the last 44 years. A native of Prescott, he had lived in Camden for the last 50 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Camden. In addition to his brother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Francis Tobin Legett; a daughter, Mrs. Gary Tolson of Shreveport; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Adkins of Huntington, West Va.; two sisters, Mrs. W. P. Babers of Bossier City, La., and Mrs. H. C. Burgess of Houston, Tex.; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the First Methodist Church of Camden with Dr. George Ivey and the Rev. Herman Bonds officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Camden under direction of Proctor Funeral Home. (The El Dorado Times - April 21, 1965)
