Martha Ann Turner Miles, age 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Warren, Arkansas, died Friday, January 21, at Community Hospital North. Born March 1, 1921, in Warren, Martha was the daughter of the late Cone Turner and Bernice Belin Turner. Her family was instrumental in the founding of Bradley County and her hometown of Warren in the 1800s. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She married Dallas Davis Miles on June 21, 1942 in the family home at 310 Turner Street in Warren. A beloved mother, Martha is survived by three children, Dallas D. Miles, Jr. of Flower Mound, Texas, Melissa Miles-Gardner of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lucinda Lee Chisman of Miami, Florida. Also surviving is a brother, Henry Lee Turner of Morrilton, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Caroline Scotta Miles, Dustin Miles Kelley, and Andrew McGeehon Miles, and one great-grandchild, Savannah Claire Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Davis Miles, M.D., a long-time physician in Warren, one brother, Cone Turner, Jr., two sisters, Jane Turner Womble Adams and Annette Turner Rule. Active pallbearers were Jim Womble, Marty Womble, Dustin Kelly, Andrew Miles, Jim Kelly and Robert Brown.
