She is the wife of Robert Livingston Wolf also buried here. She is the daughter of Thornton Stoddard and Elizabeth Williams Adams. Her parents died young and the children were all sent to relatives to live. Catherine and her sister Malinda went to live with their Uncle John Q. Adams. Catherine's son John Q. Wolf Sr. is the author of the book about the area, "Life in the Leatherwoods". The book is compiled from articles he wrote during his life for newspapers and was assembled and published by his son, John Q. Jr. and Bess Millen Wolf, after his death.
