Paula Sue (French) Parish, 71, of Bee Branch, Arkansas, passed away December 2, 2006, following a long illness. She was born on June 26, 1935, in Bee Branch to Edwin (“Buss”) and Janet (Stripling) French. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, L. D. Parish, her mother, Janet French Riggins, her sister, Reba Linn Gilpatrick, her brother, Deward French and sister-in-law, Rose French. She is also survived by five children, Rhonda Parish, Charlotte Ward, Louis Parish, Jan Dawson, and Melissa Parish, two sons-in-law, Rick Ward and Mark Dawson and a daughter-in-law Loretta (Edwards) Parish as well as seven grandchildren, Rachel (Parish)Thomas and husband Billy, Heather Parish, Cade Ward, Stacey Dawson, Katie Parish, Clint Dawson, and Kara Parish. After graduating from South Side High School, Mrs. Parish devoted her early adult years to being a “stay at home” wife and mother. She was active in the community of Bee Branch and a member of the Church of Christ. After all of her children were in school, Mrs. Parish joined the “outside workforce” as a teacher’s aide at South Side. After seventeen years of service at the school, she retired in 1996. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and other family members, especially her grandchildren, and gardening and traveling. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday December 4 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hardin Cemetary in Bee Branch.
