Mrs. Ruby Wacker Griffin, 72, of 1823 E. Main St., died Friday following a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1898, in Junction City and was the daughter of Charles and Matilda Neal Else. She had been a resident of El Dorado for the past 45 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Carl Griffon, El Dorado; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Wortz III, Hot Springs; a stepson, Carl Griffin, Jr, Lake Charles, La., a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bobbie Moore, El Dorado; her mother of Junction City; two brothers, Charles W. Else, Jackson, Miss., and James W. Else, Dallas, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Covey and Mrs. J. E. Hayes, both of Little Rock, and Mrs. Jeanne Parker, Junction City; and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Alvin Murray and Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - January 9, 1971)
