TAYLOR, Frederick Hull - Frederick Hull Taylor died Tuesday afternoon at his home at 807 West Walnut street after an extended illness at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 13 days. Failing health compelled Mr. Taylor to give up his life-long work as a plasterer and mason some years ago and he engaged then in the tin business with Adams Bros. A year or so ago an attack of uremic poisoning made his condition serious and he has been confined to his home and bed a portion of the time since then. He began failing rapidly a few days ago and the family realized that the end was not far away. Funeral services will be held at the First M.E. church this afternoon at 2:30 and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. H.R. Osborne. Burial will be in the Rogers cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born at Crawfordsville, Iowa November 8, 1858 and made his home in that state until with his family he drove thru by wagon to Arkansas, arriving in Rogers in November of 1885. He was married to Martha Ellen Lenon of Washington, Iowa Dec. 17, 1879 and to them were born 9 children, 4 of whom with their mother survive him. The children are: Mrs. Estella VanWagner, Mrs. Bertha Harshbarger and Mrs. Ethel Creech of Rogers and Mrs. Ruth Gannaway of Wichita Falls, Texas, who arrived here Monday. Mr. Taylor has one sister in Rogers, Mrs. Mary A. Hampton, and several brothers and sisters still living in Iowa. Mr. Taylor, through his building activities, was for many years one of the best known men in Rogers. The Democrat editor had many business dealings with him and his word was as good as a bond. There was no need of a contract with him for he was always willing to meet a man more than half way in an effort to do the fair thing. Hundreds of Rogers homes bear testimony to the worth of his workmanship and he had as many friends as any man in town. The town has lost a good citizen thru the death of Fred Taylor.
