Esther Hill
Esther Duncan Hill, 97, of Bentonville died Monday, Feb. 4, at a Bentonville Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1893, at Gravette to James Duncan and Artie Means Duncan. She was a lifetime resident of Benton County. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Hill, in 1973; two sons, Everett Hill in 1988 and George E. Hill Jr. in 1989; a grandson, Eddie Hill in 1959; and a great-great-grandson, Heath Moore in 1984.
Survivors are a son, Don Hill of Bentonville; three brothers, Hugh Duncan of Bentonville, Jim Duncan of Gilroy, Calif., and Bill Duncan of Gravette; two sisters, Nadine McPeak of Sacramento, Calif., and Wanda Otis of Rolla, Mo.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial are set for 10 a.m. today in Coffelt Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne McKenzie officiating. Arrangements are by Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.
