Yvonne Bradford Blackerby, 83, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died April 18, 2012, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born January 11, 1929, in Baron, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Vernon Richard Bradford and Nona Sloan Bradford. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist Hospital, in Muskogee, Oklahoma and worked for 25 years as a high school nurse for the Duncan Public School. She married Russell Blackerby on November 3, 1950, in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, in Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Bradford, and one sister, Verlene Knepp. Survivors include her husband Russell of the home; two sons, John R. Blackerby, II, and wife Virginia of Wellborn, Florida and David A. Blackerby and wife Deborah of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, John R. Blackerby, III, of Miami, Florida, Aaron Blackerby of Austin, Texas, Lacey Blackerby of Weott, California, and Diane Helmer of China Lake, California; two great grandchildren; Evan Blackerby, of Miami, Florida, and Hannah Helmer of China Lake, California; one brother, Ben Bradford and wife Merleen of Catoosa, Oklahoma; and one sister, Imadene Olinger and husband Richard, of Baron, Oklahoma.
