PORTER, A.D. - A.D. Porter, well known in western Benton county and one of the best boosters, died at his home south of Gentry Monday morning of blood poisoning. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and the body taken to Siloam Springs for burial. There was a large attendance at the funeral and the services were conducted by the Masonic lodges of Siloam and Gentry, with an escort of Shriners and Knight Templars. He leaves his wife, two brothers and two sisters and hosts of friends to mourn his loss.

A.D. Porter, who had been ill for a couple of weeks, died at his home about a mile south of town last Monday morning. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. C.H. Sherman at the home after which the Masons took charge. The remains were conveyed to Siloam Springs and interment took place in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Porter was about 53 years of age. Cause of death was anthrax. He is survived by his wife and other relatives.
