August 9, 1870 - February 13, 1947
Mrs. Janet Hughes, aged 76 years, died at the Camden Hospital at 3:50 p.m. Thursday. She had been a resident of Camden for the past 23 years, and was an active member of the Methodist Church until the time of her death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Esther McMahen of Emerson, Mrs. Lois Alford of Houston, Texas; two sons, J. H. Hughes and K. B. Hughes, both of Camden; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Hicks of Camden; one brother W. T. Cramer, of East St. Louis, Mo.; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. J. L. Dedman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with Proctors in charge.
