ARKANSAS CITY — Mary Aline Cagle Anderson, 91, of Arkansas City died Wednesday at Chicot Memorial Hospital at Lake Village.
She was born June 5, 1915, at Tyler, Texas, a daughter of the late Orvil Lee Cagle and Lottie Mae Creaner Cagle.
She was a nurse's assistant at McGehee Desha County Hospital, a member of McGehee First Baptist Church for more than 60 years and a member of Keystone Chapter 349 Order of the Eastern Star at McGehee for more than 50 years.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Lee Anderson of Arkansas City and Andy "Sanford" Anderson Jr. of Dumas; two daughters, Alice May Simpson of McGehee and Mary Jeanette King of Arkansas City; two sisters, Faye Reynolds and Nell Anderson, both of Tyler, Texas; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andy Sanford Anderson Sr.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in McGehee Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Gregory and Tommy Cunningham officiating. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee.
